Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 September 2026
This policy explains what Snaptempo collects, why, and what you can control. Snaptempo is a step sequencer: you place pegs on a six-lane board, pick a kit, set a tempo, and the app plays the loop back. The app is free and is supported by advertising, which is the reason some of the data below is collected.
1. The loops you make stay on your device
Your loops, your autosave, your settings and any audio you export are written only to this app's private storage on your device. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else, and they are not part of any category listed in sections 2 and 3.
- Delete a single loop from the library: press and hold its delete control, then confirm.
- Removing the app from your device removes all of it, including exported audio.
We have no copy of this content and therefore cannot retrieve or delete it on your behalf.
2. Collected, linked to you, and used to track you
"Tracking" means this data may be linked with data from other companies' apps and websites for advertising or measurement. These three categories are declared as Data Used to Track You on our App Store privacy label:
- Device ID — the advertising identifier (IDFA) and similar device identifiers. Purposes: third-party advertising, our own advertising, analytics, app functionality.
- Advertising Data — which ads were shown, viewed or interacted with. Purposes: third-party advertising, our own advertising, analytics.
- User ID — an identifier our advertising partners assign to this installation. Purposes: third-party advertising, analytics, app functionality.
If you do not allow tracking, the advertising identifier is not available to these partners and this data is not used to track you across other companies' apps and websites. See section 4.
3. Collected but not used to track you
These categories are collected by the SDKs below to deliver and measure ads and to keep the app working. They are not used to track you across other companies' apps and websites:
- Coarse Location — approximate region, derived from network information, not GPS. The app does not ask for location permission.
- Product Interaction — app opens, screens reached and similar in-app events.
- Performance Data and Crash Data — stability and performance diagnostics.
- Other Data — other information the advertising SDKs collect to serve and measure ads.
- Other Diagnostic Data and Other Usage Data — additional diagnostics and usage signals; these two are not linked to your identity.
4. App Tracking Transparency
On first launch, iOS shows the system prompt asking whether Snaptempo may track your activity across other companies' apps and websites.
- Allow — the advertising identifier is shared with the partners in section 5, and you may see more relevant ads.
- Ask App Not to Track — the advertising identifier is not shared. The app works exactly the same and you will still see ads, just less relevant ones.
You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
5. Third-party services we use
- Adjust (attribution and analytics) — adjust.com/terms/privacy-policy
- AppLovin MAX (advertising mediation) — applovin.com/privacy. MAX selects among several advertising networks and passes the data in sections 2 and 3 to whichever network serves a given ad; those networks handle that data under their own privacy policies.
6. Data security and retention
Data sent to the services in section 5 is transmitted over encrypted connections and is retained by those services according to their own policies. We do not operate a server or an account system for this app.
7. Children
Snaptempo is not directed at children. Because the app shows advertising and collects the categories above, we do not knowingly collect information from children under the age required by the laws of your region.
8. Your choices
- Turn tracking off at any time (section 4).
- Reset your advertising identifier in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and Apple Advertising.
- Delete the app to remove everything stored on your device (section 1).
- Ask us a question about this policy by email (section 10).
9. Changes to this policy
If we add or remove an SDK, or change what is collected, we update this page and the App Store privacy label together, and change the date at the top.
